Getting Things Done by David Allen, the favorite productivity and time management methodology of top-tier executives is now available in Budapest. Brought to you by Hamar Producitvity Consulting, the first training took place two weeks ago and the next one is coming up this Friday (02.13.).

Wired called the GTD methodology the cult of hyperefficiency, so no wonder the biggest startups such as Prezi, LogMeIn and Ustream have already participated on the first training to acquire a new mindset that promises stress-free productivity. ’Every person needs it — if they have more than one thing to keep in mind.’ – says Allen.

According to the productivity guru, the mind is for having ideas, not holding them. The core concept of Getting Thing Done is if you set up a system that captures and organizes your thoughts and commitments properly, you will become more focused and find it easier to achieve the work-life balance. Through a 5 step process you get from decluttering your mind to eventually engaging with the activities that need to be done. ’GTD enables greater performance, capacity, and innovation. It alleviates the feeling of overwhelm—instilling focus, clarity, and confidence.’

Roughly a month ago, David Allen himself visited Budapest and gladly stated that the only certified GTD partner in Hungary has done an excellent job localizing the content and representing the GTD ethos. It is indeed a milestone that thanks to Hamar Producitvity Consulting a new wave of productivity has reached Hungary, which will presumably have a significant impact on the local business culture.
