Transylvania Innovation Ventures, in partnership with the Start Europe, announces the second edition of Startup Live Cluj-Napoca, which will take place from 17 to 19 May 2013, at Yonder headquarters (Dorobanţilor Street, no. 18-20). The event brings together application developers, designers, business people, investors, and passionate about innovation.

During a weekend, startup ideas will be implemented: Friday will be presented the ideas around which teams will form; Saturday and Sunday ideas will be put into practice with the help of mentors, Sunday evening will be presented the projects to a jury. During the event, because Evernote is one of the partners, participants will receive information about Evernote Devcup 2013 and may even start developing products that will be subsequently entered in this global competition.

Awards granted under Startup Live Cluj-Napoca covers all development cycle of a startup: Evernote Premium account for increased productivity; Baranda Solutions offered help in achieving an MVP, mentoring sessions offered by Mozilla WebFWD; workspace offered by Cluj Hub; tickets at various national conferences (TEDxCluj, Business Days, Leadership Summit, and the events of Cluj Hub) and at the International Pioneers Festival 2013 (Vienna, Austria). The participating teams will be able to expose projects to potential customers in a booth at the Business Days Cluj-Napoca on 1 and 2 October 2013.

“If a few years ago it was more difficult to start a technology startup, with limited access to technology, resources, mentors and investors, now you have no longer excuses. All you have to do is take advantage of the opportunities that you are given!” said Marius Mocian, organizer of Startup Live Cluj.

Mentors team  of the event consists of Romanian youth who are involved in a startup and technology professionals, among them are: Ciprian Mardare (Co-Founder and CTO,, Cosmin Mihaiu (Co-Founder and CEO, MIRA Rehab), Cristian Constantin Olarasu (Co-Founder and CEO, Good Momming) Denis Todirica (Founder and CEO, Glazeon), Gabriel horns (Architect, Evernote Clearly), Horatiu Mocian (Founder and CEO, SociaLook), Philipp Kandal (Co-Founder and CTO, Skobbler) Tudor Vlad (Founder and CEO, KeenSkim), Victor Popescu (Founder and CEO, Gameleon), and Zoli Herczeg (BDM Applications, Microsoft).

Partners who joined so far the event are Evernote, Skobbler, OpenCoffe Club Cluj-Napoca, Yonder, Barandi Solutions, Klain, Business Days and Mozilla WebFWD. The event is supported by the How to Web, Startup Spotlight, Cluj Hub, and TEDx Cluj.
